DJ Wesley To Take New Jack Swing To Dubai

For the first time ever! W.A.Z.I.R.I. Entertainment will be hosting a New Jack Swing - Soul Nite themed party in Dubai featuring Africa's most sought after DJ in this genre of music! DJ Wesley from Nairobi, Kenya.

New Jack Swing or Swingbeat is a fusion genre spearheaded by Teddy Riley and Bernard Belle that became extremely popular from the late-1980s into the early 1990s.

Its influence, along with hip-hop, seeped into pop culture and was the definitive sound of the inventive Black New York club scene. It fuses the rhythms, samples, and production techniques of hip-hop and dance-pop with the urban contemporary sound of R&B.

DJ Wesley is going to be performing live at XS Club | Lounge - Chelsea Plaza Hotel - Satwa Roundabout. (Former Rydges Plaza Hotel) on Thursday 2nd May, 2013 in the first ever New Jack Swing themed party.

The music on this auspicious night will feature hit classics from artists like New Kids on the Block, Kid n Play, Heavy D & The Boyz, Salt 'N' Pepa, MC Hammer, Babyface, Tony! Toni!
