Ex-TV heartthrob Esther Arunga was locked up today (10/03) at the Nairobi law court cells after she denied a charge of being a member of unlawful society. She spent more than three hours at the basement cells before a cash bail of Sh 20,000 secured her freedom.
Esther was ordered by police to present herself to court where the prosecution accused her of being a member of the controversial Finger of God Church - an illegal society.
She pleaded not guilty and chief magistrate Gilbert Mutembei ordered her to pay the monies to secure her freedom.
Mutembei ordered the prosecution to supply her with witness statements it intends to rely on during trial after Esther said the documents will be useful to her defense.
The case will be heard on April 21.
Look what you are doing to yourself gal! Anyway, I know it's even tougher for Esther's parents seeing their good gal going so rogue. You made your bed Esther, now prepare to lie on it!

The case won't go anywhere BUT Arunga's reputation and career flew out the window a long time ago...

The Constitution guarantees inalienable rights to all citizens regardless of their relationship.When a son kills the Parents for whatever reasons, is that one also a family affair.Nonesensical ruling of ages.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why the courts are bothering with this case. Somebody somewhere thinks that after Esther has had a taste of jail, she will go back to "normal." Whoever it is should get it into his/her thick skull that Esther is gone and she ain't never coming back.
