OLYMPIC ANTHEM AUDITIONS KICK OFF

Over 300 excited youth showed up in Mombasa, Kisumu and Nairobi for the chance to sing alongside renowned artiste Madtraxx on the Coca-Cola Kenya Olympic Anthem. The auditions, held concurrently in
all three locations were aimed at searching for two youth, aged 18-25, to feature on the first ever anthem produced in support of Kenyan athletes as well as get fans in the Olympic Spirit.

DJ Delf and music producer Susumila were on hand to judge the talent at Darajani Hotel in Mombasa, DJ Edog and Thomas Milongo of Chagua Records were at Sunset Hotel in Kisumu, and DJ Pinye and Madtraxx held the Nairobi auditions at KICC.

"There are some people who are doing a really great job during the auditions but will not qualify," said DJ Pinye. "This is not because they're not talented, they are just not the right fit for the project
and what we are looking for," he added.

The judges on ground selected those youth that will move on to the next round after which Madtraxx & DJ PInye will shortlist the top four finalists from each region. The 12 finalists will then go through a
public voting process where two winners will emerge.

"So far it been very interesting, there are definitely a lot of young people out there with talent and it's exciting to see," said Madtraxx.
"If we can find one person who is a really good vocalist, and one person who can do a good rap, that would give us everything that we need to make this a great Olympic Anthem."

The atmosphere at KICC was very optimistic with youth lining up and singing songs as they waited patiently for their chance to show what they've got. The two winning contestants will join Madtraxx to produce
the anthem which will officially be launched before the start of the London Olympic Games.

"I just want to thank Coca-Cola for making all this possible," said DJ Pinye. "I had always wanted to do something like this, but never got the chance till now."
